Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is tucked away in the bottom part of Bridgnorth, making it an ideal base to explore the town. The rooms are beautifully decorated with serene decor, featuring upmarket furnishings to create a cozy atmosphere. The service was attentive, although there were a few hiccups like forgetting to bring toast at breakfast. The location offers easy access to the town center, but be aware that appearances can be deceiving. Dining options were on the smaller side, yet featured fresh-made Mediterranean dishes. Overall, a lovely stay with some minor areas for improvement.
The hotel offers clean and basic rooms at a price of £140 per night. The walk-in power shower and complimentary fresh milk in the fridge are nice touches, although the small size of the rooms, lack of amenities like a second bedside cabinet, and issues with radiator control may be drawbacks. The location is excellent for exploring Bridgnorth, being near the funicular for access to the higher part of town. The service had some hiccups with missing items like brown sauce and inconsistent attentiveness, but the staff were ultimately pleasant and helpful. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some tasty options but also instances of slow service and less-than-ideal dishes.
The hotel is right on the main road, directly opposite bars, and the front of the property needs refurbishment. Climbing steep stairs to the 'attic space' may not be convenient for everyone, and at night, the curtains are not sufficient for blocking out light.
